Project Overview

There are three different medical training simulations: patient marking, asthma and COPD, all based on the patient safety framework from the NHS. Work was done to port these existing simulations over to a modern unity version and to XR toolkit, and improve the experience in terms of UX. I used diagramming tools such as figjam to plan this out.

Features

Implemented interactions such as grabbing objects, teleporting, putting masks or other items onto patients, and checking boxes on a clipboard.

Included a tutorial to help users, especially those new to VR, understand how to navigate and interact within the VR environment.

Embedded the tutorial within the main menu for easy access and seamless integration. Focused on teaching essential VR interactions like teleportation, picking up objects (e.g., clipboard), and using tools (e.g., laser pointer).

Chose teleportation for navigation as it works well in limited physical spaces and reduces motion sickness.
